Shortly after Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2025, there has been a lot of movement in US politics, but this appointment also has a major impact on Europe. How will Europe position itself now that Trump has already announced a completely new security architecture in the run-up to his election? The EU elite is in panic mode, because how are they supposed to explain the whole mess to the people when the unfortunate Ukraine war may soon be over?
But the common thread of this program was the power of “education”, whereby it was less about education in the classical sense and more about the narratives that are taught in schools and universities. Whoever controls what is written in school textbooks determines what people will think in 20 years' time. That became very clear more than once today.
