NT Framework 71 & 72 Different Ministries of the Spirit Cont… & Review Trinity

Good evening or morning!

Tomorrow we will finish looking at the different ministries of the Holy Spirit in different dispensations and review the Trinity. There are many who downplay the differences in the Spirit’s ministries and thereby attempt to gloss over the distinctions between Israel and the church. They say the differences are not as important as the similarities. It is exactly the opposite. The differences are very important and we also note the importance of the similarities. There really is nothing in the word that is not important. We want to recognize the discontinuities and the continuities. It is all part of understanding God’s plan and the stewardship He has given us in His plan.

Then we will review the Trinity so we see the Spirit’s place in the Godhead. He is the prevailing person in the Church age, and yet He is still behind the scenes and exalts Christ. Very important to keep the Spirit behind the scenes and don’t commit the fallacy of the charismatic movement which has put the Spirit on center stage. The Spirit never puts Himself on center stage. He is always pointing to Christ. Christ is on center stage. “I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

I’ve attached two documents for tomorrow so we can finish up the different ministries of the Spirit and then press on to review the Trinity.
