WHAT IT TRULY MEANS TO HAVE A REVERENT FEAR OF GOD

And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA EVERYONE!!!

Something about this passage of scripture, even though I have read it countless times, continually challenges my heart, but also shows me something new from it every day. In particular, I have been learning what it truly means to having reverent fear and respect for God, versus being put in terror of Him. What I mean in this guy's, is I have been learning true, genuine, reverence for God, versus the IFB's definition of fearing God, and it's something I'm really grateful for. I think that's why this particular question from this morning’s devotional is so challenging and encouraging my heart right now, and I'd like to share it with you tonight. Please, please read this question carefully, and I pray that God will speak to you through it.

How important is “the fear of the Lord” to you?

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God has been showing me from His Word on what the “fear of the Lord” truly means, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you, encourages you to see and know the difference between a healthy fear and reverence for Versus an ungodly unbiblical terror of God. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with this final question from this morning's devotional, and I pray that you not only think about it but ask God to speak to you through it.

How could you humble yourself before Him today?

I think it starts by spending time in God's Word every day, studying it, prayer, and living out the principles and precepts that are found within it. That when we are faced with individuals, who are trying to coerce, manipulate, or frighten us into following and fearing God, that we not only ask God for discernment in this area, but the courage to walk away from it. I believe that it is only when we truly humble ourselves before God, and learn to worship Him in genuine reverence, we will definitely find that God will help us to move from being fearful to embracing a healthy fear of Him. Most of all, I believe that we'll know what it truly means to be loved by an almighty God.
