His life, his joys and losses, his dreams and his fears - everything is recorded here. When Richard meets Margaret (Robin Wright), who also shaped this room, a special bond begins between the two that overcomes the boundaries of time and space. They share memories that are not only their own, but also those of the people who inhabit the room before and after them. Al (Paul Bettany), another resident, also leaves an indelible mark and brings a new perspective on the place and the stories trapped within it. As time passes, their stories become more and more intertwined, revealing secrets that have remained hidden for centuries. Who were the people who entered this room before?
