William Hans Schmidt, a retired Captain and Logistics Officer, dedicated his entire career to the logistics field. Born in Toronto in 1957, William spent the first seven years of his childhood in Germany before returning to Toronto, where he lived until joining the Canadian Armed Forces in May 1976. He is currently retired and resides in St. Catharines, Ontario.
