Volusia felony gets arrested after she tried to run on foot from a Port Orange police officer

A wanted Volusia resident out on felony probation attempted to try and run away from officers after being contacted on a traffic stop earlier this morning.

Alicia Dvorak, 34 of Daytona Beach, who tried to go by "Katie" initially provided officers with the fake name after being contacted in the back of an Uber ride.

When officers went back to try and confirm her identity, Alicia exited the vehicle and took off on foot. Officers quickly caught up to her and took her into custody on her active arrest warrants without any further incident.

Alicia's response after being arrested... "I had to try". Alicia was additionally found in possession of Cocaine and prescription medication without a valid prescription. Alicia was turned over to the Volusia County Branch Jail.
