‘Not surprising’ the US is targeting Colombia with trade tariffs

Australian Strategic Policy Institute former chair Stephen Loosley claims it is “not surprising” the new Trump administration is targeting Colombia with trade tariffs.

“It is not surprising Colombia, the third largest trading partner of the United States in Latin America, was the target,” Mr Loosley told Sky News Australia.

“Certainly, we don’t want to see the beginning of tit for tat with the US and trading partners in the region … it would be an absolute disaster.”
