When the past and future do not exist the present becomes an unforgettable moment

DON’T SAY AND DON’T ASK, ALWAYS SYDNEY
When I look at these photos I can’t help but think of the thoughtlessness of those days, the sun, the heat, friends who, like me, enjoyed day by day what beautiful Australia had to offer, the thing that makes me think the most is that probably the reason for so much happiness was just living day by day, we lived in the present moment and each day became special
The ubiquitous Sydney Bridge with its majesty and royalty, an unparalleled beauty and perhaps because I have walked on and off it who knows how many times it has become an integral and important part of my memories of Sydney, walking is what has always allowed me to discover new things and see them in a different way, in every country I have lived in there is a place where I have walked the most and which has now become a symbol that I connect to those moments, every time I let my memory wander, in Perth there is Hyde Park, in Bundaberg the main avenue, in Joetsu the old city, in Bangkok it is Sukhumvit, in London the River Thames, in Edinburgh the River Leith, in San Benedetto del Tronto the seafront, these places and the endless walks were moments of great reflections on life and where I made the most important decisions
That day in the park below the Sydney Observatory we waited for the fireworks, it was hot but it was great, we were all together laughing and joking, we were all friends even though we did not know each other, thinking back, that day was as if the past and the future did not exist, that day was what every day would be for each of us if we had not been brought up to live a lifestyle based on selfishness, materialism and power
Young and full of energy, happy, every day was different, special, life was a constant surprise, the idea of a monotonous and boring life did not even cross our minds and all we were looking for were adventures, new friends and laughter, I lost track of everyone except for the great Giovanni in the middle who seemed to be tied to my destiny by a thread of silk, it was him who got me into the hostel in Sydney the first night I arrived, It was raining and I had nowhere to stay, he saved my ass, we met in Bundaberg and then in New Zealand, he like me I think he continues to live life believing in dreams, in adventure, in the joy of a simple life, as for the other guys I hope they are living an existence worth living and not dictated by the rules of society
