LETS TALK ABOUT POLITICS

Dear Pastor Bob: It seems that Christians these days are told to have no business supporting political candidates. They say that believers are replacing God when they do this. For example, I support President Trump because I agree with a lot of what he stands for. I may not agree with everything he does. But I believe he has our nation’s best interest and safety at heart. He isn’t perfect, but since when has God used perfect people? Some pick on him for his past adultery when they don’t realize that King David was the king of adultery. I don’t make out any politician to replace God in my life. But I want to be able to support a candidate without being accused of that. I don’t think it’s fair that Christians are being picked on for this stuff. No one seemed to condemn Christians for taking part in politics until Trump came along. Do you have any thoughts on this?
