Snow Amur Leopard 🐆

The Amur leopard is a leopard subspecies native to the Primorye region of southeastern Russia and northern China. It is listed as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List, as in 2007, only 19–26 wild leopards were estimated to survive in southeastern Russia and northeastern China.

In the wild, it's estimated that only around 100 Amur leopards remain. Their historical range has diminished significantly, and they mostly live on the Russia-China border in a protected area. There are also around 220 Amur leopards in captivity in 88 institutions around the world.
