Police to destroy whole guns

Michigan State Police will now be required to destroy the whole gun collected during community buybacks under legislation signed into law Wednesday by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Previously only the frame or receiver of the firearm was destroyed, while a private company was recycling and selling the other parts.
