YOU'RE CALLED TO BE A BLESSING

There's something extremely precious about this story out of II Kings 4 of this widow who trusted God enough to do what the prophet said, and not only was blessed herself, but was able to be a blessing to others. I was also thinking about what Nancy Gavilanes, this morning's devotional writer was sharing in regards to how God was directing her to go from being a journalist, to a Blogger sharing her faith, and I'm sure that had to have been nerve wracking. It brought me back to the moment I started share my faith on social media, sharing my faith through my political blogs, my YouTube and rumble pages, and more. I had a very slow start on it, especially making mistakes and along the way, but God guided and directed me, and while I don't have millions of viewers, I know that God is blessing not just me, but others through these outlets, and I'm very grateful for it. It's also given me an opportunity or two to share my faith, and the insights that God has given me through the Bible studies with the Time Warp Wife, and that's something I'm extremely grateful for.

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God has shown me throughout the years, especially through this morning scripture, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you will encourage and challenge you to not be afraid to use the talents and gifts that God has given you, so that you can be a blessing to others. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to leave you with these questions from this morning’s devotional, and I pray that they help you see the importance of being a blessing to others and encourage you to want to use the gifts and talents that God has given you.

What gifts and talents has God given you?

How are you using your gifts to serve others?

I wanna challenge you tonight, to just sit down and ask God to show you the gifts and talents that he has given you, write them down if you need to, and ask him to show you ways that you could use those gifts to serve others. It may not be anything significant, but as the beautiful hymn says, “Little is Much When God is In It”, God can use even the most insignificant, useless talent you have for His honor and glory. Don't hide what God has given you, but boldly, courageously, and with wisdom and love use those gifts and talents, because you never know how God will use you to impact others with them.
