My Japanese Video Game Collection 106 Final Fantasy 4

Final Fantasy 4 is one of the greatest games ever made. It has an amazing story of love, betrayal, and overcoming your darkness. It was the first final fantasy game to introduce the ATB battle system.

You're Cecil a dark knight who is on a quest to recover the stolen crystals from evil forces of Golbez. While on his quest Cecil overcomes the darkness of his past actions to redeem himself to become the legendary paladin. Cecil also gains friends and allies to help him battle powerful monsters and explore 3 worlds.

This is the very first Final Fantasy game that I've ever played, and it was released here in the U.S. as Final Fantasy 2. I still remember my dad rented this game a month after we got our Super Nintendo for Christmas. It was a half day in my second-grade class, and we got to go home early. My dad was playing this and we loved it.

This game has a really high replay value to me and even though we have the pixel remastered and the 3d remake I prefer the original 16-bit version of this game.

This game also has a sequel Final Fantasy 4: The After years which takes place 17 years later and now that I have played that game I see this game differently now.
