Roddenberry eloquently identified and spotlighted America's number 1 problem of the future: the entertainment industry.
IMO, he was concerned that the goal of too many citizens was to sit in front of the boob tube and vegetate while being entertained.
In fact, Americas number 1 religion is now sports ... just another name for entertainment.
