Is Diego Pacheco Ready to TAKE DOWN Edgar Berlanga?

Diego Pacheco won a unanimous decision over So Cold Steve Nelson in Las Vegas this past weekend. Steve Nelson did the best he could by setting a fast pace early in the fight.

However, Pacheco showed great resolve in his offensive punch selection and his defensive performance during the fight. This was a huge step-up fight for both Nelson and Pacheco.

After the fight, Pacheco called out Edgar Berlanga. Pacheco said he wanted to fight anyone in the top 5. He's ranked number 1 with the WBO and in the top 5 with the other sanctioning bodies.

In my opinion, Diego Pacheco is a problem. He understands distance and range very well. He's a well-trained fighter. He's a patient yet disciplined fighter.

He has a high ring IQ and he's fundamentally sound. Edgar Berlanga claim to fame is hanging out with washed-up rapper Fat Joe, and losing 12 rounds to Canelo.

Edgar Berlanga called out Pacheco after his win over Nelson. This would be a good fight in my opinion. This fight should be easy to make. Both fighters are on the same side of the street.

With Turki Alashihk buying the block, there are no more sides of the street talk in boxing. Diego said he wanted to make that fight with Edgar, and told him we could run it.

I think Pacheco is the better overall boxer in this match-up. Could Berlanga use that experience to beat Pacheco? Only time will tell.

In other news, Andy Cruz looked phenomenal against slow-footed Omar Salcido on the Pacheco vs Nelson undercard. After the fight, Cruz walked up to Keyshawn Davis and Shakur Stevenson to greet them.

I'm optimistic boxing fans will eventually get a Keyshawn vs Cruz in the near future. 135 has a lot of talent. I believe most of the fighters will fight each other at some point at 135 except for Tinkerbell. He let it be known he ain't fighting none of the top guys in his division.
