Deck Profiles: BRS - SSP Episode 7 | Alakazam

Episode 7 of Deck Profiles: BRS - SSP will be about Alakazam ex.

I play a lot of local Pokemon TCG, and I'm known for my "crazy decks". So, when Alakazam got announced, I was super excited to start deck building with it.

Alakazam ex has a lot of cool stats. It's a Stage 2, so it naturally has a lot of HP and it's a Psychic Type, so it has "game-breaking" attacks/abilities. This one definitely has both of those in abundance.

So, Alakazam is off to the races. Combo that with it's control-style of play, and you have a recipe for manipulation as far as the eye can see. And that's what you're trying to accomplish with it.

Alakazam is a control archetype, meaning it's designed to slow your opponent down and cheat games away from them. Alakazam needs more attention because it can do a lot of things in the BRS - SSP format that not many decks can do with as much ease, particularly shut down Fezandipiti ex. So this is my contribution to that, and maybe Alakazam can help ease the hype around Fezandipiti ex.
