'A Writer and a Gentleman' (1968) Short Story by John le Carré

This short story, 'A Writer and a Gentleman', was published in various magazines in 1968 (Savile Club Centenary Magazine, The Argosy short story magazine, and The Saturday Review). Note that it had an alternative title, 'The Writer and the Horse', in the Savile Club Centenary Magazine.

Plot: John le Carré buys a horse. The horse is a placid old nag most of the time, but in stormy weather it goes bananas, and is extremely dangerous. John le Carré sells his horse.
