I will be exploring the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, Tegalalang Rice Terrace, Uma Ceking, Tirta Empul Temple, Bali Cat Poo Chino and the Menega Cafe. These are just some of the many amazing places you can come and visit in Bali, Indonesia. Though there is still a lot more to see, it will be a good guide on some of knowing what to expect when traveling here.

Bali, Indonesia, has a rich and vibrant history shaped by centuries of cultural, religious, and political influences. Evidence of early human habitation dates back to prehistoric times, with archaeological finds showing that the island has been inhabited for thousands of years. By the 9th century, Bali was influenced by Indian culture, particularly through the spread of Hinduism and Buddhism, which left a lasting mark on its art, architecture, and religious practices. The island flourished under the Majapahit Empire, which dominated much of Southeast Asia in the 14th century, before gradually becoming a part of various local kingdoms. Bali remained largely isolated from the Islamic kingdoms that spread across Indonesia, preserving its unique Hindu culture. The arrival of Dutch colonists in the 19th century led to a series of confrontations, most notably the Puputan, a mass suicide ritual in 1906 by Balinese royalty and their followers, as a defiant stand against Dutch forces. Bali was incorporated into the Dutch East Indies and later became part of Indonesia in 1949 after independence. Throughout the 20th century, Bali developed into a major global tourist destination, attracting visitors with its stunning landscapes, traditional arts, and spiritual ambiance. Today, the island is known not only for its tourism but also for its preservation of cultural heritage, making it a symbol of Indonesia’s rich and diverse history.
