In this voiceover, the narrator shares the story of Simranjit Singh Mann on his visit to his house in the early 2000s.

After the June 1984 attack on Harmandir Sahib, Mann, who was a high-ranking police officer (DIG), resigned in protest. He tells how his mother encouraged him to stay strong on the difficult path of Sikh struggle. She accepted his decision to leave the government job but warned him that if he turned back from his commitment to the Sikh cause, neither the Sikh community nor she would accept him.

Mann recalls his time in Bhagalpur jail from 1980s, where he was humiliated, tortured by the police he once lead.

In the end, he tells the writer that he has kept his promise to his mother and never turned his back on the Sikh community. Simranjit Singh Mann's dedication to the Sikh cause since the 1984 attack is truly inspiring.
