The weedy polyculture garden

In this huffy ass video we are about to put my leggy seedlings into the ground haha. I'm working on positive self talk!! Once again, growing plants for your garden from seed is not easy. Especially in the temperate grow zones where protection from frost is necessary. In this video we go over all the ins and outs of interplanting a polyculture permaculture garden. There are many different aspects of planting in this way in order to avoid having to till, and avoid using synthetic fertilizers/pesticides. I used a cover crop first followed by compost and a deterrent species border as well as interplanting. Had a bit of an overwatering problem due to my sandy soil washing away already sparse nutrient. Ultimately this was an OJT crash course in permaculture gardening, and my yield was quite low, but not zero. This field used to be conventional corn/soy for decades prior to my conversion so the fertility was minimal to begin with. Future turns will likely be better with more compost layering.
