Detroit officer run over while firing his weapon at suspects

DETROIT - Detroit police released several angles of video footage showing what led to an officer-involved shooting last month that resulted in an officer being dragged by a car.

Officers with the Special Operations Unit were on patrol on St. Mary's, not far from Seven Mile, around 11:40 p.m. Dec. 11. 2024, when they spotted a car blocking a sidewalk, according to Detroit Police Capt. Shaun Dunning.
