Third Marine Aircraft On July 15, 2024, wing aircraft perform flight deck qualifications onboard the USS Tripoli (LHA 7), an amphibious assault ship, while it is in the Pacific Ocean. The amphibious assault ship was able to perform Mobility Air Qualifications and 3rd MAW squadrons were able to retain the currency needed for amphibious operations through joint training with the Tripoli in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.(Sgt.
