Dame June Raine as the Chief Executive of the UK Medical and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) who claimed to have regulated the covid vaccines for safety and efficacy.

"In an unfortunate oversight, the announcement of the MHRA’s authorisation for use of the Pfizer/BioNTech product was made on the 59th anniversary of the withdrawal from the UK market of thalidomide by its UK distributors."
