The wording “self declared autism spectrum disorder” is not an outright statement by the writer that Andrew is falsely reporting. However, the addition of the words “extensive history” shows that the writer did want to emphasize to the reader no proof of autism had ever been provided by Andrew or any other institution despite Andrew's numerous hospital visits spanning many years.
Also in this section, the writer points out that Andrew kept recording devices in his weighted bear.
36:53 – Quotes around “allergic” in the phrase “allergic to most anti psychotic medications” indicates disbelief that Andrew is genuinely allergic to them and only claims to be allergic as he does not wish to take these medicines.
