Ep 755 • "The Most POWERFUL Thing in All The Earth" •

Not Truth
Not Lies

But What You Believe.

None of these things in and of themselves have the power to set the course of your life. It is what you choose to BELIEVE that makes the primary difference.

What you believe is the foundation and fountainhead of all you say and do. And what you say and do sets the direction of your life. A common saying is: "I am where I am today because of the choices I made yesterday." And the choices I made yesterday are based on what I have believed, at a heart level, and the actions they led me to. For what I believe in my heart directs my words and actions.

As Jesus said:

ALL THINGS POSSIBLE ~ Matthew 19:26
"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."

Matthew 12:34-35 ~
"O generation of vipers [snakes], how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things."

Jesus is Truth (I am the Truth)
Satan is LIES (Father of Lies)

Three ways you Believe:
1. What you EXPERIENCE
2. What you are TAUGHT
3. What you FEEL (emotions)

The first time believing is evidenced is in the Book of Genesis. When God spoke truth to Adam and Eve, who at first believed him, but then disbelieved him and disaster came.

Believe: 143 times
Believed: 116 times
Belief: 1 time
Believing: 8 times

Total: A Whopping 278 times!

(Not to mention the words for "unbelief")

The first time the word believe is mentioned in the bible, is in Exodus chapter 4. Where Moses is, because of his lack of belief, arguing with God. And interestingly enough his argument is about believing. He is afraid the Egyptians will not believe that he has come from God.

The last time the word believe is mentioned in the Bible is 1st John 5:13. Where we are admonished through and by the Holy Spirit, that the things that have been written down in Scripture, are for the purpose that we might believe on the Name of the Son of God.

HELP MY UNBELIEF ~ Mark 9:23-24
"Jesus said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, 'Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.'"

BUT THE UNBELIEVING ~ Revelation 21:1-8
[1] And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. [2] And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. [3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. [4] And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. [5] And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. [6] And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. [7] He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
