In the US, 2.39 billion dozen eggs were used in 2024

In 2024, the US used 1% more eggs than in 2023. This is reported in the new USDA report "Egg Products"

The report says,

"During calendar year 2024 through December, shell eggs broken totaled 2.39 billion dozen, up 1 percent from the
comparable period in 2023. To date, cumulative total edible product from eggs broken in 2024 was 3.06 billion pounds,
down slightly from 2023."
