From the mother and daughter who flipped a coin to decide who would board the plane, to the man who got drunk in the bar and missed the flight, many are speaking for the first time about the crash and its aftermath. We tell the stories of those that perished and survived, as well as looking back at the events that determined their fates.

The story is both a tribute to the people who were so tragically killed on the plane, the town of Lockerbie where the wreckage crashed to earth, and an insight into the reality of the impact of terrorist atrocities on us all.

In a 90 minute special to mark the 30th anniversary of the Lockerbie disaster, this dramatic and powerful film tells the story of six survivors and six victims, most of whom are speaking now for the first time. Using compelling accounts from the survivors themselves, the victims’ relatives, rescue services, and aviation staff, as well as contemporary archives, we piece together 48 critical hours in what is still the worst terrorist attack ever to take place on British soil.
