From Peaks to Persons: New Zealand's Descent into Pagan Madness

In the other “down under” country, up is down and mountains are people.  New Zealand has taken a leap into the abyss of paganism by granting personhood to Mount Taranaki. Yes, you heard that right - a mountain now has the same “rights, duties, and responsibilities” as you or me, but without the pesky need for human concerns like taxes or voting. 

While human life, particularly the unborn, is devalued to the point where abortion is nearly consequence-free, the inanimate world is elevated to human status. This hypocrisy is stark - babies are not persons, but mountains, lakes, and rivers are. What does this say about our values? That the sacredness of life is now measured by how rooted you are in the ground rather than by the breath in your lungs?

New Zealand, once charming with its quaint English towns like Christchurch, now dances to the beat of ancient Maori drums, celebrating not just their culture but also their historical practices, including cannibalism, in a modern context. This legal lunacy follows the footsteps of granting rivers and land "personhood," turning environmental advocacy into a bizarre form of worship where nature isn't just protected but personified.

The unanimous passage of this law in New Zealand's parliament speaks volumes about a society where the line between nature and humanity blurs into a pagan tapestry.
