Continuity of Government

Pete Hegseth let slip in his press conference appearance that the Blackhawk helicopter was on a "routine continuity of government" mission. This is a long-standing program that oversees the transportation of "key personnel" within the Federal Government to the massive underground facility designed to house a "government in exile" during a major threat to the nation. Every new administration requires that all new "key personnel" be immersed in the procedures and protocols involved in executing the order. In a sense, each new member must be "trained". The quantity of "keys" is more than you might think, since the "elected" are only part of the whole.
