How your body can play an integral role in wearable security | Shreyas Sen | TEDxIndianapolis

With the increasing saturation of our world with wearable devices, the need for more creative approaches to security has become more apparent. The implications reach beyond wireless headphones and watches; extending to pacemakers and insulin pumps and IVD technologies that also have vulnerabilities that can be exploited by hackers. In this talk, Professor Shreyas Sen talks about a new approach to wearable device security that uses the body as an integral part of data protection. Shreyas Sen is an Assistant Professor in ECE, Purdue University and the inventor of the Electro-Quasistatic Human Body Communication, for which is the recipient of the MIT Technology Review top-10 Indian Inventor Worldwide under 35 (MIT TR35 India) Award. Dr. Sen’s current research interests span circuits/systems for Internet of Things (IoT), Biomedical and Security, for which he has been involved in raising over $14M research grants from government and industry. Dr. Sen is a recipient of the AFOSR Young Investigator Award, NSF CRII Award and Google Faculty Research Award.
