Italian Style Kitchen Cleanse

Today's cleansing comes from Italian Folk Magic by Mary-Grace Fahrun. You may know her better from her website Rue's Kitchen Witchery. This is a really simple cleaning that is also known as "Setting Up Your Kitchen". You can do this at any time when the energy feels off and to reestablish your connection to your kitchen and your ancestors. I added some of my own takes and added information for you.
Step 1: Pack up and clean your kitchen. Sort through your things here (or later) as well as try to remove items that don't belong in the kitchen. Godspeed if your spouse or children have claimed sections of the kitchen for themselves.

Step 2: Close your eyes and connect to your kitchen. Here is where you unpack your kitchen and can again sort through everything that you may want to give away and keep. Take a moment to connect to your ancestors or the kitchen spirits and invite them in to your home.

Step 3: Throw some salt in each corner and then sweep from the corners into the center of the room. Collect it in you dust pan and then throw it out the back door. Then prepare the cleanse that you can use to spray in the corners of your home.

The Cleanse:
You will need: 2 quart pot
3 Cinnamon Sticks
3 Whole Cloves
Teaspoon of sea salt
1 lemon cut in half
Add all of the herbs and the salt in the 2 quart pot and fill it 3/4 of the way full with water. Bring to a boil and then lower the heat and allow to simmer for 1 to 2 hours.
Turn off heat and let cool. Once cool remove from the stove, remove the lemon and pour the rest into a clean spray bottle.
