Camping in Sub-Zero Temperatures in the Boundary Waters

When I was invited to join Miyagi on the Trail, Shug, Rob Pelton, Toots, and Milosh on a winter camping adventure for the ages, I jumped at the chance. After my blizzard adventure at Pictured Rocks the year before, I had been looking for another opportunity to improve my skills camping in the dead of winter in brutally tough conditions. This was that chance.

In this adventure I headed to northern Minnesota to the Boundary Waters with Canada in sight, for 5 days and four nights of hot tent camping where temperatures repeatedly dropped below -20°F. And I was not disappointed...
