Quest for Glory: So You Want to Be a Hero -

In the Valley of Spielburg, evil ogress Baba Yaga has cursed the land, transforming the baron's son into a bear and kidnapping his daughter. Players take on the role of a customized hero, battling monsters and brigands, solving quests, and helping fantasy creatures to restore prosperity to the valley.

By completing quests and defeating enemies, players earn experience, money, and equipment. The game features an open-ended design, allowing players to explore and solve quests in any order.

Ultimately, the hero must free the baron's daughter from Baba Yaga's curse, fulfilling a prophecy and earning the title of Hero. The game sets the stage for the sequel, Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire.
