Operation FLICKR

Operation FLICKR (2006) produced payment records for about 5,200 people for purchasing explicit child material that provided Army fleet zip codes or military email addresses. Out of those 5,200, only 3,500 were crossed referenced for government ties, which uncovered 264 suspects, including contractors and staffers at the Secretary of Defense and the NSA, Nine of those people obtained top security clearances. 20% of the 264 government connected suspects were investigated, and even fewer were actually prosecuted. After 8 months, the entire investigation was shut down, leaving more than 1,700 people unchecked, who still may work for the Department of Defense (DoD). How many more people and departments in our government are involved or still working in government?
