Vortex Defender ST

My experience with the Vortex Defender ST hasn't been great. It's been in stark contrast to what I'm seeing from a lot of people out there both content creators and "influencers" which makes me wonder...did I get a bad one or???

**Note about the close up footage** - I struggled with getting my camera to capture an accurate representation of the reticles on all the optics I tested in this video. Between lighting and constantly trying to adjust focus in order to get a clear view it really didn't work out well. Attempting to record electronics with a camera is a pain and more often than not you end up with added glare, blossoming and visual artifacts that aren't there when you look through them with the human eye. After spending a total of four hours filming in the snow and another two hours attempting to film close up footage I gave up....so this is where we ended up.
