Calculating Gauge Pressure to Reach a Height
8 months ago
28
In this video, I walk you through problem number 47 from Chapter 10 of the Giancoli Physics textbook, which involves calculating the gauge pressure needed for a fire hose to spray water to a height of 16 meters. I explain the application of Bernoulli's equation and how to derive the necessary pressure using the density of water and gravitational acceleration. I also provide the final gauge pressure in pascals and its conversion to psi. Please make sure to follow along and check your calculations against mine!
