His group’s work at Novartis on predictive modeling of phototoxicity enabled the discovery of the drug Odomzo (sonidegib) for advanced skin cancer, which is marketed and has saved lives.

27 scientific publications, 4 issued patents, 2 pending patents in analytics, statistics, AI, and finance. One paper has been cited 1,250 times, and one article has 4,757 downloads and 23,638 abstract views.

Dr. Egan invented 2 highly successful, patented, commercial software products for drug discovery and semiconductor modeling that are still sold today.
