"Don't Gatekeep, It's Mean! Just Surrender" NO!

Gatekeeping is absolutely crucial to any hobby or setting that wishes to remain intact in the current climate. If Star Wars and Warhammer 40k etc etc had barred those who actively desired the destruction of those franchises then we would not be where we are today. It is the immune system of a healthy body, and those who do not wish to engage in it are more then welcome to step out of the way.
