Israeli soldiers wounded, two critically, in occupied West Bank shooting attack

A gunman has been shot dead by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank after he opened fire at a military checkpoint.

At least eight people have been injured.

It happened at the Tayasir checkpoint, in the north of the territory.

At least two of the wounded are in critical condition.

It comes as the Israeli military continues an offensive in the occupied West Bank, which has killed at least 44 Palestinians, in two weeks.
