AOC Calls Elon Musk ‘Dumbest Billionaire Alive’ Over Government Cuts

D.C. (Dist. of Criminals), February 4, 2025 — Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) unleashed a tirade against Elon Musk during a 92-minute Instagram livestream, calling him “morally vacant” and “one of the most unintelligent billionaires” over his trillions in government spending cuts.

Musk, now leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), recently shut down USAID and slashed billions in DEI programs with President Trump’s approval. His plan aims to eliminate up to $2 trillion in waste, targeting government grants, bloated agencies, and bureaucratic redundancies.

Ocasio-Cortez singled out USAID’s shutdown as particularly egregious, despite the agency’s long history of corruption and accusations of being a CIA front for regime change and covert operations. USAID has been expelled from multiple countries, including Bolivia, Russia, and Venezuela, for meddling in internal politics—raising the question: Why is AOC so eager to defend a program with such a controversial past?

The cuts have enraged Democrats, with Hillary Clinton branding Musk an "unelected oligarch", and Sen. Chuck Schumer accusing him of “gutting the government”.

Musk fired back on X, mocking Schumer’s "hysterical" reaction and defending the cuts as long-overdue fiscal reforms.
