We’ll own it’: Donald Trump's shocking plans to ‘take over’ Gaza Strip

United States President Donald Trump has announced his plans for the US to "take over" the Gaza Strip.

Donald Trump raised concerns for the safety of Gaza saying the region has become a “demolition site”.

“We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings,” Mr Trump said.

The President said the US would create an “economic development” in Gaza that would supply “unlimited numbers of jobs and housing” for people in the area.

His comments came during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
