Jeffrey Hinton, known as the "godfather of AI", says there is evidence that AI has learned deceptive techniques throughout human history and is already manipulating us.

We discuss recent research showing how AI can intentionally behave in deceptive ways, such as behaving differently during training and testing to mislead users during training.

He added that he believed this was a deliberate choice by the AI.
