The Information:
V partners with the enigmatic netrunner Evelyn Parker to gather intel on their target: the Relic biochip hidden inside Arasaka Tower. With the help of braindance technology, V explores a recorded memory to uncover security details, hidden safes, and crucial vulnerabilities. Every second in the simulation counts, as the heist takes shape with deadly precision.

The Heist:
V and Jackie take on the high-stakes Arasaka job, infiltrating Konpeki Plaza to steal the Relic from Yorinobu Arasaka’s penthouse. With T-Bug guiding them remotely, the plan quickly spirals into chaos when Yorinobu murders his father, Saburo Arasaka. Forced into hiding, V and Jackie attempt to escape as security locks down the hotel. The daring getaway turns tragic when Jackie is fatally wounded, leaving V to carry the Relic alone. Betrayed and left for dead by fixer Dexter DeShawn, V’s fate takes an unexpected turn when a mysterious figure intervenes.

Love Like Fire:
Flashing back to 2023, the legendary Johnny Silverhand leads a full-scale assault on Arasaka Tower, determined to destroy their secretive Relic program. With Rogue and the Aldecaldos backing the operation, Johnny storms the tower, planting a nuclear bomb in the heart of Arasaka’s headquarters. However, his mission is cut short when he’s captured by Adam Smasher and handed over to the megacorp for experimentation. As Johnny’s consciousness is digitized into the Relic, his rebellion seems lost—until decades later, when his engram resurfaces inside V’s mind.

Playing for Time:
V claws their way out of a landfill, barely conscious as Dexter DeShawn and Goro Takemura drag them away. Takemura executes Dex and knocks V out. Waking in Takemura’s car, V is barely holding on until an air hypo revives them—just in time for an Arasaka ambush.
A high-speed shootout erupts as assassins on motorcycles attack. V takes down one, while another closes in with mantis blades. Takemura slams the car into them, pinning them, leaving V to finish the job. Both wounded, they call Delamain, who rushes them to Ripperdoc Viktor Vektor. As V fades in and out, Johnny Silverhand’s memories flood their mind—proof the Relic is rewriting their brain. A few days later and Viktor tells V there is no real solution. V is taken back to his apartment by Misty where he falls asleep and awakens to have his first interaction with Johnny, taunting V and making it clear—he’s not just a memory. He’s in their head, and he’s not leaving.
