The bill proposed eliminating in-state tuition for illegal immigrants, allocating $500 million for enforcement, and enforcing the death penalty for illegal migrants convicted of capital crimes. Despite these strong measures, DeSantis demanded even tougher laws, emphasizing state-led immigration enforcement in response to Biden’s failures.
