I take a look at the Coghlan's Pocket Chainsaw. It was comfortable to use and managed to get through a small log. It took about 6 minutes to saw through it.

I'd recommend carry this in your pack as an emergency saw, if you do not already carry a saw. It takes some time to cut through things, but it worked well.
