Moving the energy... the ancient way.

Vedic and Buddhist architecture and artworks are full of depictions of the great Masters and Deities sitting with their heels tucked into the perineum.

In the anatomical interpretation, this posture enables applied pressure to an important energy centre at the very bottom of the torso - the perineum.

The Vedic teachings call this location the "Guda" Marma point, and in the Far East, it is known as the "Hui Yin" point - the Earthly gate and the "meeting of the Yin."

When the heel is properly applied to this area, it can help with the release and circulation of sacred creative energy; accurate placement can also help leverage the hips at the pubic symphysis, relieving pressure and improving energy flow.

The posture is extremely common in ancient depictions of the deities and Masters of old, and for good reason - it shows quite clearly a practical method to aid in the circulation of the preserved creative energy. (The universal force). This age-old teaching may provide a pathway to opening the head centre and awakening the inner eye of the thalamus. This awakening can lead to the subtle Sidhi superpowers spoken of by Vedic masters and the secret abilities of the Taoist sages. It may be the route toward the extraordinary powers alluded to in Western esoteric traditions and didactic artwork.

This video highlights and expands upon these ideas and describes the anatomical symbolism of this little-known practice. I believe I am the first person to openly point out these important and truly ancient ideas in this detail. The symbolic physiological and energetic connections running through the various faiths, traditions, and cultures highlight the vital significance our wise and subtle ancestors placed on these practices.
