Profanity: A Form of Evil Speech

Profanity is not just "bad words," but words and behavior that show irreverence to God or the things associated with Him. The Bible uses "profane" (or synonyms, depending on your translation) to describe words and actions that dishonor God through disobeying what He has commanded or allowed. Positively, Christians must speak words and do things that show a reverence for God's holiness.
