Who Is the Lord of the Sabbath?

In Matthew, Mark, and Luke, we have the place where Jesus is quoted calling himself, “The Lord of the Sabbath.” Christians may breeze right over such statements, but we shouldn’t. It’s an incredibly powerful statement of who he is. He is God, he claimed to be God, his disciples claimed he was God, and Christians today all still profess him to be God. Let’s talk about what it means when he calls himself “The Lord of the Sabbath.” I hope it’s a blessing.
