Sean Strickland didn't stand a chance at UFC 312. He's run into someone that will not go backwards in Dricus Du Plessis. He didn't have a shot. Sean Strickland needed to do some new things in this fight to differentiate himself from the first fight. Instead, he just jabbed and abandoned the push kick that Dricus Du Plessis hated.

Dricus Du Plessis is as game as it gets. After fighting, and beating, four champions in a row, he's calling out Khamzat Chimaev and Alex Pereira. That takes some guts. He may not fight beautifully, as we saw at UFC 312, but he certainly fights. I fear that Dricus Du Plessis will be a champion for a little while longer.

Weili Zhang dominated Tatiana Suarez in the co-main event of UFC 312. Everyone gave Tatiana Suarez all the advantage in the world. But after a hiccup in the first round, Weili Zhang took over and denied everything Tatiana Suarez had for her and more. The dirty boxing was tight. The counter wrestling, tight. The aura, tight. We love Weili Zhang here. Period.

Everyone wants Weili Zhang vs. Valentina Shevchenko next. You can't have a Bullet without the Magnum? Heh. I don't give Valentina Shevchenko a shot against Weili Zhang, the future WMMA GOAT. But let's book it. Let's book a career defining fight for the first UFC Chinese champion, and a perfect ambassador for the sport. And let's end Valentina Shevchenko's career once and for all.
