Werner Von Braun - the genius of his vision of space flight, technology and his plan to colonize the moon. His name should not be forgotten.
This is 1955!
And you'll love his plan for a satellite habitat which was obviously borrowed by Kubrick and Asimov. The detail is surprising.
Unfortunately, NASA let the drive and ambition of Von Braun slip through their fingers. No surprise there.
And curious that I was never introduced to Von Braun in school. Found him on my own through extensive reading.
